Does my child need to be toilet trained?
No. If your child is newly trained please provide an extra set of clothes in a bag with your child’s name on it to be left at the preschool.

Do I stay with my child on the first day?
We prefer you get your child settled, say goodbye and let them begin to bond with the teachers at the preschool.

Do I need to provide food and drink?
Yes. We ask that your child bring one portion of a healthy snack each day. A few examples are cheese and crackers, hard boiled eggs, fruits and vegetables, etc. As we provide water throughout the session and offer it at snack time we ask that you do not send a drink.

At what age can my child start preschool?
Your child can attend preschool starting at thirty months of age, two and a half year olds come one day a week. In order to enroll in the three year old preschool your child needs to turn three by December 31st of that school year. In order to enroll your child in the four year old program your child needs to turn four by December 31st of that year.

Do you go on field trips?
In the interest of your child’s safety we prefer to go on walking field trips as well as have different activities come to the preschool.

Am I required to participate in the running of the preschool?
No. Lyndhurst is a privately owned preschool.

Am I required to do fundraising for the preschool?
We ask that all families participate in one small fundraiser each year.

How do I pay for the preschool program?
At the time of enrolling your child there is a $75 registration fee required to guarantee your child’s space. Fees are paid with ten post dated cheques dated the first of each month.
